Staying current! "Are there any competitions you can win by napping?"

"Are there any competitions you can win by napping" I heard this evening coming out of my 5 year old son's playstation 2 playing his Shreck game. Made me think it was a good time to remind my followers and students that it's extremely important to keep going, stay up to speed, and never be caught laying down napping on the job.
You never get anything accomplished, win anything, build anything, save anything, improve anything, or earn anything if you don't get out there and get things done. It's a competitive world out there in the online sales, Internet marketing and general e-business and online money making scene. It's hard for any one person to stay up to date with the latest trends, newest, latest and greatest about everything. A good idea is to get involved in groups, and of course places like this forum, however I want to take that suggestion a step further and entice people to put together their own small groups.
By groups, I don't mean facebook groups or a team of people to get together and chat about something. Assemble yourself a small team of people that work together working apart. Kind of like that strange idea I heard about in a movie that I hear a lot of people are doing, called something like living together apart, where the couple (married or otherwise) would happily live in different houses but live their congruent lives seeing each other regularly, spending some nights at each other's houses etc... A similar concept of running our own business or freelance / webmaster operation while also working with a couple other people or in a group where you all work well together and help each other get things done.
Ideas and methods like this have helped me grow, learn, feel better about my work and be more successful, so I hope they do the same for you.
