Howmany Blogs are Too Many?

Returning after exactly two years to the Warrior Forum, I see, I have a Blog here too! Just a month ago I opened about three Blogs with similar questions about my blog-addiction Blog Addiction - Mind your Business while really - I should be building my own website, as I just am telling on that site to newbies, in German, and on a blog, of course.
My next subject there will be the question: Is a blog better than a homepage?
After learning CSS, and not being able to tell dreamweaver to connect it with the page, I see that for me it is. Writing an article with html-tags is such a nuisance.
The second reason is SEO - I know better which mistakes to avoid, than how to do the correct things. With a blog I can just forget it, more or less. The important things are ping and keywords. Social bookmarking instead of link-hunting, taking up twittering again, (a propos: I don't really like these automatic twitters, saying "new post at tinyurl", still prefer handwork and type in twitterfox what it is about.)
Another good SEO reason for many blogs still is: yes, one does need sites too, but it is not so much more work to link them, when ready, to posts on ones own (free) blogs outside ones domain, than submitting the site to directories or link lists. Article writing and submission is more work than blogging.
So - howmany blogs are too many? That is - as long as one can manage to write at any reasonable frequency... .
(Or am I just too stupid to find an automation for this, and is it not neccessary to do it all by hand?)

I think it depends on how much time you have to devote to them. Between posting and marketing, blogs require a lot of work,. You need to keep them updated in order to keep your readers coming back, and that requires some good hours.Posted 3rd April 2009 at 06:39 PM by coolwriter

You can never have too many blogs. You can have something like 20 blogs if you think you can handle all of them. I personally didn't quit my day job yet and I do successfully manage a couple of them. But I think I've reached my limit.Posted 4th April 2009 at 05:47 PM by DanielFonda
