Have you heard of tiny URls? tinyurls.com TM
It's a free service to make posting long URLs easier, and may only be used for actual URLs.
Recently I came across an even better site. It's called bit.ly, a simple url shortener
What's bitly all about?
bitly is similar to tinyurl but not only it allows users to shorten and share links (URLs). But it also allows you to track clicks on your shortened URLs.
Ofcourse both services are useful when you have a long url you want to shorten, or an affiliate link you want to hide.

Hey Lama,
Thanks for the heads up. Up until now i've used tiny url but it looks like bit.ly has the advantage which allows you to track clicks.
