Advertising Local Online

When looking for local businesses who would be interested in advertising local online, I started testing out using Google Alerts to let me know when any of my [city] blogs were updated.
While the PR of most of these blogs was non-existent, the majority actually do allow you to post a comment and even request your url. This has brought me some excellent search engine traffic.
Use this information wisely and responsibly.
