Google's very own social media platform Google+, has received a massive overhaul in it's functions, design and layout. While many would agree that Google has been playing catch up the whole time in their race against social media dominance, I'd have to agree and say this new update just might be their first steps into helping capture an even greater piece of the social media market share.

The new Google+ multi-channel layout looks like a cross between the Facebook timeline system and Pinterest's pin board. The once static side menu has evolved to become an elegant sidebar slider and depending on your screen size, the new layout allows for increased vision of page content stretching up to 3 columns wide. The interface comes with the added function of unlimited page scroll and also features videos and photos at full page width once clicked on.

No idea why the engineers decided to add the unlimited page scroll as it's quiet annoying to most users, but I guess the guy's over at Google are simply learning straight out of the social media handbook in what works and what doesn't.
