Sell SEO from a homeless shelter!

I started out flat broke, I mean living in a homeless shelter in the winter...
Zero cash, bumming cigs.

How did I manage to earn enough money to get back on my feet using nothing more than the set of skills I learned by being a member of the Warriors?

Here's where I lived in January 2008:

  • no car
  • only that bicycle
  • fired from CDL job
  • a dozen kidney stones, one of em 14mm
  • tested dirty in pre employment drug screen
  • been more than a year since I was 30 days clean

The only online tool I could use were FREE ones.
The one that worked for me in the past was Google™ Blogger blogs.

That was my starting point.
OK, now how to get people to listen to homeless guy who tested dirty and that test was a matter of public record?

Step One- get something to use as a resume

Offer to promote small businesses for free for the purpose of showing that I can do it!

First client: a weekly rate hotel in Frederick Maryland, which is where I was hoping move into to get me the hell out of the Cold Weather Shelter...
The hotel is more like a rooming house.
It's a decent place to live where you don't have to come up with deposit money, and couldn't pass a credit check if you wanted to.

Ok, now make them a blog and get that blog to rank in Google using ONLY free WEB2.0 tools.

Mission accomplished!
Now... get a part time week end job walking ponies (amusements/ petting zoo and such)
make them a blog, get that blog ranking in Google™

Step Two get paid
It seems the local cab company got bought by someone web savvy... he did his own SEO but really didn't have time to do it.
(btw I passed the drug test to drive a cab but my past arrest record made the authorities deny me a cab license)
I made my pitch... guy really didn't think I could pull it off... but I did seem to know the nomenclature... what would it cost him if I failed?

First Paying Gig: $100 cash
keyword phrase he wanted targeted:
Frederick Airport transportation
You tell me which ones are mine:

Frederick airport transportation - Google Search

This guy (City Cab Company) has his site hosted on a local county wide portal:

Guy gives me a chance by editing his existing page and creating a sub page just for airport runs:

His existing page serp listing:

City Cab Co. - Premier Airport Taxi Service - Taxi / Airport Limo ... City Cab Co. is located in Frederick, MD. and Specializes as a Frederick County Taxi Cab Service, Washington County Airport Transportation Service, ...
City Cab Co. - Premier Airport Taxi Service - Taxi / Airport Limo Services in Frederick County - 21k - Cached - Similar pages

the one I made:

Swift Reliable Airport taxi service, fleet of 58 vehicles, over ... Swift, Reliable Airport Transportation- City Cab Frederick. 801 Highland St. Frederick, MD 21701 ... Frederick Airport Transportation Blog on
Swift Reliable Airport taxi service, fleet of 58 vehicles, over 100 drivers - 17k - Cached - Similar pages

Got this company SEVEN of the top ten listings!

this is getting to be a long post...

suffice it to say the Warriors Set Of Skills is so easy a crack head can do it!

And... if only I could monetize this blog - is there any way for us to sell Warriors memberships anymore?

    Very Inspiring!

As bad as it sounds to say "I enjoyed the story", I really did.

It is great to see that you have freed yourself from some pretty powerful stuff and are moving on to bigger and better things!
