What Is Affiliate Marketing And What Are The Real Routes To Success?

The Internet Marketing Niche in particular nowadays is crowded with Marketers creating new products and affiliates promoting offers on their behalf to their own subscriber lists or Social Media Networks that they are part of.
I have lost count the amount of times I have read ‘The Money Is In The List’ – implying your main income from your List is being able to promote affiliate products though the medium of email marketing.
Many people like myself have been on coaching programs in the not too distant past – in fact coaching has become one of the largest sources of revenue for many Internet Marketers largely because so many people in the current economic climate want to know how they can make a living online.
When I went through the coaching mill it was put across very strongly that you need an online presence by having a Blog to give social proof of who you are and what you are about; also this give you your own platform to create content and connect with other people online showing you to be a real person which is correct – this does not hide the fact that success depends on how good your blog is, quality of content, how reader friendly it is etc.
The other component of an online business is an email subscriber list of readers and prospects.
Some of these readers and prospects are the ones you send emails to on an occasional basis with the odd affiliate link in order for you to make make money by marketing other peoples products.
In practice, the whole process works something like this:
A vendor creates a product, submits it to a digital retailer site such as Clickbank or PayDotCom to which marketers can sign up as affiliates and setup their affiliate link in order to send promotional emails to their subscribers.
