Affiliate Marketing Websites and The Importance Of The Domain Name is sometimes under estimated by the new marketer when considering it's importance.

Most new affiliate marketers think that they can just slap up some banners and poof - they'll make some affiliate commissions. And that may actually happen sometimes too.

But the serious money comes when you master either pay per click traffic - or - you master generating lot's of organic traffic.

And not just traffic........ I am talking about Highly Targeted traffic.

And when we are thinking about organic traffic - and highly targeted traffic.....well then it all starts with the domain name.


Now before we select a powerful domain name - we have got to do our keyword research. And when I personally think of keyword research - I typically am really focusing in on two major factors.

First - I am looking for the demand. You know - how many searches per day is this keyword phrase being asked for.

And second - I am looking for the competition. You see my mentor taught me how to be a niche blogger. And a niche blogger is a person who creates sites that are specific to a product, service or topic.

Now when you go about doing your research with that in mind - well then you are also looking for a search engine result page where you competition fell asleep at the wheel.

You know - they are so focused on some topics and phrases - that they totally missed a few of them. And that gives you the chance to swoop in and claim the top of the page for yourself.

Anyway - when we consider demand - and then we consider the competition - the next step is to build a site for that specific phrase.

To do that - WE MUST - have four things that are crucial in order to get traffic.

These things are:

1. The keyword phrase in our TITLE
2. The keyword phrase in the URL
3. The keyword phrase in our HEADING
4. The keyword phrase in our DESCRIPTION

Now we have to do this in every single post, page or site. Did I say we have to? YES - it is something that we have full control of - and we cannot fall asleep on this point.


But - now I will add one more point that almost all affiliate marketers forget. And - the newbie marketers - well they never learned this - so they never get this right.


Here it is.......the keyword phrase should be in the DOMAIN NAME!!!!!!




This is crucial and now I'll show you why. If a person types into Google - "My Question"....... and Google finds that keyword phrase in 20 different titles - Google will pick the one that it feels is the most relevant.


If Google finds the keyword phrase in all of the four key points mentioned above......well that is serious business.


But when Google finds it IN the DOMAIN NAME - AND the four points mentioned above - well then that is just about a no brainer.


So if there is a site called My-Question dot com - and the main page is called - "My Question" - AND - My Question is in the title, the description, the URL and the heading.....doesn't it make it obvious that this site has the answer to My Question?


And that's the point. The more that we can stack into our corner when seeking to earn an income from affiliate marketing - the more that we will earn.


And when we build sites that cover the four points that I mentioned above - AND THEN - we add the all important domain name to that formula......well my friend that's a home run.


So when considering making Affiliate Marketing Websites in the future - don't forget the Domain Name. It is crucial - and may just be that one thing that helps you nail the top of page one - and helps you cash in on more affiliate commissions.
