Many writers get to post on blogs and some are known to make good money out of it. There are two kinds of blogs. There is the free blog and the self-hosted blog. Free blogs are easier to set up and do not come with a cost. All you need to do is to sign up on your preferred platform, choose a desired name and theme, and then start posting your content. The other blog requires you to pay for a domain name and hosting. The difference between the two is that self-hosted blogs do not have limitations on how you run them. You may sell your products and services, run advertisements, and post content without being restricted. That is unlike the free blogs.

Getting published and printed has been a costly affair and, at times, you are not guaranteed to reach your intended audience. E-books have solved this problem and now writers can write books and sell them on their own. Book costs have also been lowered, as authors have removed the middleman.
