There is an extremely easy way of checking the uniqueness of PLR and that is by using a tool called copyscape. If you intend to use PLR content for your website or by writing articles then it is so important that it is unique and with copyscape you can check this in a matter of second.
It is well worth signing up to the premium version as this costs $5 for 100 searches and this will last you for ages. You then simply copy and paste your rewritten article into the box on copyscape and press search. Within a matter of seconds it will tell you if the article is unique or if it’s not it will tell you where a similar version is on the internet including an option to compare any articles that match yours.
You can see where the text is the same and then simply alter it until it is unique. There are lots of differing opinions in internet marketing circles as to how detrimental duplicate content is to your business but I would strongly advise you to make your content as unique as possible.
Even though it is a known fact that many people will buy PLR content and not even use it, let’s look at the example of 1000 people purchasing the same PLR article pack and all of them distributing these article to the article directories or placing it on their websites. It wouldn’t look good as many websites would be identical and would most definitely be penalised in the eyes of Google.
