What have you done with your online articles

I write several articles a week for many of my niches plus I outsource some too as I simply wouldn't get anything done if I simply did it all myself. I was reading on the Warrior Forum the other day that people write articles and then assume they will be a huge online hit.
The truth is internet marketing is not this easy unless you are a top internet marketing guru and have lots of people subscribed to your feed on ezinearticles.com. Even though you have the platform on free article directories if you want your articles to make you money online you can't just leave them to it after creating them.
Firstly I would experiment with what you find works best for your niche and when you get a good result repeat it over and over with lots of new articles.
You should start by bookmarking every article that you write to all the social bookmarking sites. I personally recommend doing it to at least 20 until you find ten that give you the best results. For example I get amazing results from Digg compared to lower amounts from Faves. This should also include the likes of Twitter, FaceBook and MySpace as this will get your article talked about and increase the clicks through to it.
After you have bookmarked your article you should submit it to other article directories. My personal favourite though is articlesbase.com just for how much viral traffic that you can receive from it. It is not a do follow site like many of the others but people that use it will use your articles with your links in them on their blogs and websites bringing you amazing traffic through to your own products and services.
Once you have done this the traffic from your articles will be amazing and your sales and brand will increase over time. I would also recommend keeping a record of your articles in Microsoft Excel and then when someone wants information about something that is inside one of your articles you will be in a position to create new links through to it.
