Question 1:
When/how long into your business did you realize that controlling traffic was key to your profitability?

ANSWER:
Well actually, it was obvious to me right from day one that controlling tree traffic was the key to profitability and wealth. I started with paper-click traffic and that’s how I sold my first e-book online; I mean my own first bunch of e-books online. And once that bug kinda hit mi realized other ways by which you can get traffic online. So I started to experiment with those; so yeah,it started from day one.

QUESTION 2:
What are your thoughts on the concept of “free traffic” and SEO?

ANSWER:
Well, once in a while business is lucky enough to start and have a product that is so awesome but the traffic just comes out of no where. Those businesses are so great and I love them and infact I love to invest in them because they really have a big advantage. Now the businesses that I started typically don’t fit that profile and I’d say that like oh! 95 /98% of the people that I know that have successful businesses whether selling things online , they also don’t fit that profile. In other words ,they’ve had to figure out how they own traffic themselves and you know, part of their conversation here is about paying for your traffic. Uuuhm! , it’s about mastering the different page channels of traffic. And one of the things that happens when you work on different channels of traffic on mastering the page channels isyou get very good at marketing ; Infact, the education you get (the marketing education from buying your traffic)is worth more than the traffic itself; because if you are getting free traffic- uuuhm! When you are getting free traffic ,you kinda do your project and the traffic starts coming in you’re like great but you’re kinda NOT UNDER THE GUN to make sure you’re doing everything right it irritate it to really make sure you nail your message and communication and your conversion fun and all of that .As soon as you that, you know(that bill of your hundreds of dollars on your credit card);once you get some sales from it. You realized wow (and I think we’ve all had this experience)you know, where we all didn’t remember to set our limits for that day or you know, where we made a little mistake and woooo! We’ve spent a lot more money than we were going to. And so yeah, paying for traffic I’ve spent close to tens of millions of dollars on traffic over the years(I mean I’ve spent a lot on traffic)and I’ve made a lot of mistakes with it but it has really sharpened me up ;you know, it has really gotten my marketing skills going.

QUESTION 3:
What kind of mistakes did you make?

ANSWER:
I think the biggest mistake you can make with paying traffic whether you are doing paper-click or you are doing banner adds or you are doing content deals(however you are doing it)the forward is not watching it like a hawk. Okay, right now we have a lot of amazing tools we can use to watch our stats and to watch our traffic. You know,I got to say years ago when I got into direct marketing(direct response marketing)we did things that sounds like the cave men kind of days where we would write adds and you would call up a magazine and you would call them up months in advance and you’ll negotiate getting a space on the right hand page in the front half of the magazine .In the lower part and you got to lay the add out and you gonna get to him and then run the add and you gotta find time to track the responses and the cost of his time and money and all those efforts.
In relative to that , what we’ve got available to us now is a dashboard where you can just open it up and see how the traffic is converting and you know ,sometimes you have people complaining that its kinda a hassle to check my stats and then I’d say you gotta be kidding me(because what we have right now is the golden age-the rhinosaurs of marketing). And I think it was peter Till that says you are one distribution channel away from a massive home-run of a business (that’s a kinda paraphrase). By the way ,Peter Till is the guy that started papal okay, and he’s a multi-billionaires, apparently the most famous guy in silicon value right now;self made multi-billionaires in several different businesses-the first investor in facebook. And what is noticed is that if you can find that way to get your message out, that you know, one of them can really get you to the next level. When I started online with my first book which was a book on dating advice, I just started with paper click traffic and I would have just stayed with that and that was all I’ve ever done ;I still would have built a multi-million dollars business. But sometimes I’m a little more greedy than that; you know, I wanna have bigger businesses so we started out other businesses(we did banner adds, affiliate marketing, we did partnership with other websites sometimes)and each one them has advantages and each also taught us something about business you know I’m a big fan of it
.
QUESTION 4:
What helped you “dial” your traffic buying success in?

ANSWER:
Two really helped me get to the next level and successful with the traffic that I paid for and the first is mastering words. Different words are worth different amounts and you learn quickly that a few words and headlines can work two times, five times and ten times better and so testing different words is so important. When I was teaching a lot of dating advice, my take on that was a much more kind of normal approach to it, it wasn’t this kind of pick-up artiste kind of way of doing. But in all the test I was doing there’s usually a pick-up line ;it wasn’t even the word I will use , but I started putting them into headlines then I started getting tremendous amount of traffic ;so testing different words and getting to understanding as asking yourself what kind of words are my customers for and continuing to search until you find the best one, But another thing that was really a big deal was what we might call stereo-stepping or building a funnel or getting people instead of make one giant commitment one should get them to make small commitments and since are talking about dating advice which is how I got started years ago online and I think a metaphor will help here: imagine a guy in a bar and he seems attracted to woman he’d like to get a date with ,it doesn’t really make so much sense to walk up to the woman and he says: I noticed you over here and he pulled a ring and he says will you marry me?. That’s probably gonna scare her off a little bit but in reality that’s what we do with our websites; you know somebody comes on our sites and it’s like here Is our product and here’s how much it cost and BUY IT!!!. Rather than saying here is something that will help you meet your needs; you know, her’s a few reports you can get or here’s a video you can watch by opting in(and by doing that you have broken the big commitment down into a series of small steps and small commitments). Because you know, when you walk up to that woman what you should say really should be: I noticed you over here and you go like “what’s your name?”;that’s a lot easier commitment to make and after like 5 or 10 minutes you could ask for her e-mail address and that will even a lot more easier commitment to make and then over time you exchange e-mails and then you ask for her phone number and that is much more safer(and that’s a great example for marketing). A situation where we build out our funnel and start a good relationship with our customers-that changes the whole equation. And the reality is when you are paying for traffic you’ve got to pay attention. Because you want to make sure that at the end of the day you got your maths right ; in the sense that the amount it takes people to come on your and to eventually buy is fair compared to the overall price of the commodity . So that at the end of the day you are not running at a loss, in other words, spending beyond or above those commitments (pricing).

QUESTION 5:
What is your biggest tip for new traffic buyers?

ANSWER:
If you are just getting started as in paying for traffic and you’re in a fix of what should be your response after customers get onto your sites to buy things irrespective of how they got in through the available media especially after you must have with your own money just to have this traffic and then for it to continue. I subscribe (now this is more intuitive than general view)that you send a personal e-mail to everyone that come on your site do this yourself. Let the questions to them include:”what is your biggest challenge or frustration or what is it that you are looking for right now I’ll like to help you”. Then when they come back personally READ them through your conversations with them because thry tend to pour out their hearts here or open to you as you engage them. When you engage them like this ,they will give you emotional words that . You will take those words(and these are words you will use in your adverts)because the that word that people use when they are scared or triggered or they are trying to figure out solutions are different than we come up with .And your customers will end up giving you words that you will use in your add and in your headline and in your conversion steps.

QUESTION 6:
Where you nervous or scared the first time you tried paying for your traffic?

ANSWER:
I think the most important thing you mut have is that YOU MUST DO IT. When people ask me about marketing and things I just say go to google, go to facebook; go put your credit card in there and buy some TRAFFERS because there’s nothing that will grab your attention and make you learn some some of the marketing things that you need to learn to be successful like paying for traffic from a place and again these things are mind blowing and miraculous. There is a window of opportunities that’s open right now where we can go and we can run adds and we can see what the responses are and we can educate ourselves very readily. I mean ,Tim Ferris went in and tested the titles for his four hours work week;he tested them all against each other not to sell the book but to just to see which one people clicked on the most and then he took the name which had the clicks and he got this big best seller out of it. You can do so much with this, you can learn so much. So I will say jump in ,spend a little time money and go learn what you can learn from paying traffic. It’s the best education machine that’s ever been invented.
