Bummer...I was pumped..PART 2.. Update On my SqueezePage Case Study.

So I figured I can sit here and update my post right at the same time I'm actually gettin the the ol' squeeze page tested.

You know... Making sure everything under the hood is working properly.

Make sure that the sign up gets delivered to the confirm page and the confirm link clickin gets dumped on the thanks page. So here goes:

1. Ok. so the first test was to see where I get dumped after sign up. The AR I am using has a default confirm page. so strike one for this AR. I don't like that. I need to control what my traffic sees. THIS IS IMPORTANT: I want to be able to make an offer on this confirm page at a later stage.

The prospect has just signed up and they're hot right now. Good timing to hit 'em with something while their whistles still wet.

On the other hand though, I know that only a small portion of the sign ups will actually confirm. This might be my only chance with those lazy folk.

I will still use it for now though. Because I am boot strapping. Once I get some conversions, I'll switch to a different AR. Awebers like 19 bucks. I think getresponse might do a trial. Donno. It's been a while.

2. second test is to go find the confirm email and get to clickin...

Ok. So unfortunately the confirm click took me to another default page...

So either I beefed on my list setup or this AR just got strike two....

So, I triple checked my set up. And for all intent and purposes this should not be dumping me on the default confirm and verified pages.

Strike 3 for this AR. I WILL be switching to a different one.

GOOD LESSON HERE....

I have a little hang up. I could stop and go search around to find a suitable AR and set the list up and basically swallow up an additional couple hours.

I can keep moving forward and tweak things later.

The smart move is to just keep moving. DO NOT STOP.

So here's the plan.

When this AR dumps me to the default "confirm your email page" it includes a link at the bottom to a url that I CAN CONTROL.

Knowing that a bunch of people wont go check their email to confirm, I can just send them to my thankyou page, where I can remind them again to confirm, and hit them with a complementary offer.

Ok. I'm back in business here. Not the best situation, but still workable.

So I'll head back over to the AR setup, change the url, and edit my thanks page.

Ok. It's 3.28 am (yes, I know. I should be sleeping.)

I finished editing the page. And I am gonna do a twitter blast. might get some views or maybe even a sign up or two.
