Avoid This Income Killer Like The Plague

I don't know about you but when I first started online, I was great at starting things. You know at the beginning when the project is exciting and new. But I found my interest waned as the project went on. I could easily jump from one strategy to another. I believe they call it shiny object syndrome. I mean it's that serious, they even have a name for it. It has dawned on me that for every successful project I have finished I probably have another one that's half completed on one of my memory sticks.
Died a death - joined those PLR reports and bright ideas - gathering digital dust on my hard drive.
Who knows what that long neglected and potentially very lucrative folder could be worth. If I ever get round to finishing them?
Tens of hours gone to waste and LOTS of ideas that will never see the light of day EVER again.
Big mistake.
And while it's unlikely they'd have been home-run type projects, you never know where they might have led to. How much they could have earned me, the partnerships they might have started and the momentum they would have built.

Take traffic generation strategies. I know I have been through this myself. I tried solo ads and after a 300 click solo decided it didn't work for my market. I tried article writing and after one well written article decided it didn't work for me either.
Really?
After a single article I decided it was a traffic source that didn't work. Do you do the same? Do you try something and quickly decide it doesn't work because you don't get immediate results? Move onto the next thing, the next big promise of instant riches or overnight success.
You have to focus on one thing.
Give it your all and make it work.
Every traffic source works. You just have to make it work for you and your business.
You do have to choose one and decide to master it. Master until its working for you like you never imagined it would.
Then and only then can you move onto the next one.
You do the same again. Focus and stick with it until you have mastered that one. Then and only then are you allowed to move on.
The problem with internet marketing is that people are lead to believe that's it's an easy way to make money.
And it is. But only after you have put the hard graft in. You can automate almost your entire business. Once you have built up your expert status. Once you have learnt and mastered a traffic strategy or two. Once you have success and can prove to others that you know what you are talking about.
This does not happen overnight.
This does not happen with some secret push button system that nobody else knows about. It comes with hard work, determination and the ability to get back up when things don't go to plan. You need perseverance, resilience and a very very thick skin to succeed in internet marketing.
Just do it. Start getting yourself out there. Start helping people and adding value. A waterfall starts with a single drop of rain. A marathon begins with a single footstep. Nobody can start for you. Once you do, it's the best business you can hope to be in. Half way through projects I have doubted my ability, my knowledge and the value I can add to other people's lives.
Makes no sense when, in the past, all my products and recommendations have been so well received and done just fine.
I doubted myself, lost my nerve and made a big stupid mistake.
Believe in yourself; see projects through to the end. If they don't work out, you update it and create version 2.0.
Apple, Mozilla, Microsoft... they all do it.
Or you add it as a bonus to your next project or product.
