Video Marketing Is the Future

I come from a traditional advertising back ground. Print advertising to be precise. I started my advertising career putting print adverts together for small to medium sized businesses. In fact when I started all you needed was AIDA and a image in the Yellow pages. Things were a lot simpler then.
The days of the old school methods of advertising are well and truly over. The days of sticking a little advert in your local paper or in your local Yellow Pages are long gone.
Both old and new companies have had to move with the times or risk being left behind. Pretty much everything has moved online. So literally at a couple of clicks of a mouse, you can move massive sums of money around the world. You can buy and sell a house. Literally almost anything is now possible online.
Even the oldest, most traditional businesses have had to move with the times to keep up with how people now spend the majority of their time and carry out most of their transactions. The internet has grown really fast in the last 10 years. Everyone is now connected. The social media revolution is one of the most important developments to have occurred in modern times.
Video is one of the best ways of utilising online promotion and the best part is its free.
Video marketing is a great way to promote your business, connect with your potential customers and build your brand. The best type of videos are the videos that you star in yourself. So people can see you, get to know you and start connecting with you.
To start with you may be too shy to get in front of the camera yourself. So film someone else. Use screen capture software to record your voice while showing what you are doing on the screen as you do it. Which is the way that I started. It's a great way to build your confidence and get used to being out there.
But where do you start, what do you record the video about?
The first step is keyword research.
My business is all about list building, so I would go to Google keyword tool, its completely free. There you want Google to tell you what people are searching for. You want to search for new keywords then ask Google for keyword ideas.
When I search for list building I got 334 keywords. Don't worry about competition or the suggested bids. They are only relevant if you want to spend money on advertising. So I now have 334 subjects I can record videos on and the keyword that each of those videos will target.
Another way you can generate keyword and video subject ideas is to use YouTube itself. The search bar at the top of Google is an auto populate search. Which means that when you start to type, YouTube will give you suggestions of what you may be looking for. So I inputted list b and already YouTube has returned ten results of possible searches I may be typing. Starting at list building all the way through to list building strategies. The best part about the auto populate function is that these are all searches that people carry out about your subject.
So now you have hundreds of subjects that you can start recording videos on.
