Here are 8 Ways To Build A Responsive List
  • Send Them Freebies

You can send your list free stuff to build credibility and relationship with your list.
Common freebies include eBooks/reports, Videos and Audios. You create them yourself or use PLR (private label rights) Some time, I send my list motivational videos (eg.Tony Robbins) which can easily found on Youtube, review copies of my upcoming products and even Devon's videos!

Try to send stuff that are related to the niche you are into to build credibility. You wouldn't want to send a Weight Gain report to your "Fat Loss" niche subscribers!
  • Ask Them Questions

If you would like to know how your subscribers are thinking of you or you want to know what problems they are facing right now, asking them questions is a very good way! You get to interact with your list and if you can solve their problem, it builds even more credibility!

For example, sometime back, Devon asked his readers and subscribers to asked him any questions relating to their online business by commenting on his blogpost. He then go through the questions and create videos to answer each question! (By the way, I was one of them!)

Occasionally, I used SurveyMonkey to create surveys to help me understand my subscribers better.
  • Run Special Events

You can invite your list to special events. Example of special event is a webinar.
You can create a webinar to educate your list on specific subjects in your niche. You can also invite industry experts to co-create the webinar if you are not a expert in the specific topic.

For example, Listbuilding expert Jason Parker often partner with Super Affiliate Charles Kirkland to launch webinars that teaches traffic methods such as PPVs.
  • Update Them on Latest Industry News

Things are changing very fast in this information age. Thus, what works today, may not work for tomorrow.
For the internet marketing industry, things change even faster!

For instance, Google may release another update, removing your site from Page 1 of Google.
Thus, it is very important for me to inform my subscribers what to lookout for next month or even next year.
  • Offer Items For Sale

I often create 7-days Mega Sale which I reduced the price of some of my products for a 7-day period. My customers loved it!
Types of occasions you can launch a sale:
Summer holidays, Valentine's Day, Halloween and X'mas
  • Run Competitions

Most people love competitions, especially when there are cash prizes involved. The benefit of organising competitions is that it create interaction between your subscribers and you. Most of the time, it also help create buzz for your business.
  • Promote High Quality Products

Okay, unless you want burned your list, do not promote junk products to your subscribers.
Make sure you have try the product you are recommending or at least check some reviews before promoting products to your list.

If you promote a product that solve their problem, your subscribers will appreciate it!
  • Build A Community

One of the best way to get your subcribers to trust you is to build a community. When you had a big following of fans, people tend to trust you more and take your advice more seriously. Some of the ways that I used to build a community, is having a Facebook Group, Fanpage and a Skype Group.
