I heard this track recently when visiting family and it struck me this is a very common feeling.

Yes - to those who believe - heaven will be a great place to be. Nirvana, happiness, peace everlasting, yet there is the one thing we have to pass through first before we can experience the best bits - every single one of us - DEATH!

Now think about all the things in life you aspire for then contemplate what you may have to experience to get there. A by product of this contemplation is many opt out and decide to settle for what they have and know.

Internet marketing is very similar. People want to make the millions that seem to be on offer, they want the recurring income, repeat business, great reputation and the ability to succeed again and again, no matter what avenue of Internet Marketing they opt to go down.

The big blocker, like the song says, the painful bit - the hard work, the effort, the need for undiminishing enthusiasm, optimum energy levels, continuous positive focus and attitude, strong networks and the inane ability to keep learning in order to achieve your goal is where people switch off.

Too much like hard work!

There is a major misconception out there around how easy it can be to become an internet sensation with the midas touch!

Truth is everyone starts from the same starting point. How you choose to approach the path you must take is where the winners and the losers separate.

The winners get to "heaven" or IM heaven and keep applying what they learn time and time again. The losers look around at everyone else and wonder why success is not landing on their door step.

Winners set clear goals and stick to them. They do not jump from one area to another. Seeing their project through to completion and taking full accountability for delivering on their own goals is where the success strategy truly kicks in.

No blaming others, no impatience, no denial of what they do not know, no pretence around who they are and where they want to be and no doubt on their vision for success.

Next time you feel the frustration kicking in and you are contemplating going back to where you were before you embarked on your IM journey, ask yourself this:

"Am I willing to experience the pain to get to my final destination, not knowing how long my perceived pain may last? Do I have the stamina and belief of the unknown and the faith that I will get there one day? Am I ready to feel the fear?"

If your answer is no, listen to this track and ask yourself whats the worst thing that can happen if I change my answers to YES!

Here's to saying YES to SUCCESS!

Life's way too short to keep saying NO!

Thanks for reading.

    Great article, Gill.

Too many people chase the Internet version of the lottery... expecting to get rich overnight, with little or no effort on their part. Sure, it might happen to a few very, very lucky individuals. But for the vast majority, it's not going to happen.

The best way to guarantee your success is to put in the hard work.

"You've GOT to do the hard work. It's the only way you're going to win." - Dave Ramsey

"It takes a lot of unspectacular preparation to produce spectacular results." - Roger Staubach

"Good luck is when preparation meets opportunity." - Darrel Royal

    Thanks for sharing!
