Reasons For My Online Business Blog
My reasons for maintaining an online business blog might be slightly different than yours, but as Internet Marketers, we are all doing it to achieve basically the same end results: traffic, branding, sales.
Like most marketers, I try to maintain a presence on the Internet in a few different ways, including this Warrior Forum blog and the one on my main marketing website. I have recently posted some thoughts there, highlighting some of the benefits of blogging as I see them.
My primary reason for blogging is to highlight my website by providing interesting and relevant information and resources for my targeted audience. I know that if visitors find some value there, they just might return another time to see what’s new.
But the big challenge, as we all know, is simply getting those visitors there in the first place. One way to attract visitors is through effective search engine optimization (SEO). Search engine traffic can be great because people who search know what they want.
A blog that is effectively optimized will attract search engine traffic, and blogging is an ideal way to add fresh, keyword content to your site regularly.
Internal backlinks to other pages on your own website can add additional SEO value and will help in your overall backlink profile. Blogging allows you to create internal backlinks quickly, easily and naturally.
Another key reason for my online business blog is branding.
The aim of many Internet Marketers is to create a web presence and brand themselves as experts in their niche or as preferred sources for the kinds of products and services they sell. Your blog serves as the perfect platform to express your ideas and insight, as well as your industry and product knowledge. This is how you can demonstrate your value to your targeted prospects.
And finally, the reason for all of the above is to make sales! That’s why we are in business. Otherwise our blogs would be general interest and we would care less about the marketing and SEO aspects of it.
If visitors like your blog and see value in your content, they may also warm up to your product and service recommendations. And they might recommend your site to others. The more you focus on quality and on frequent content updates, the more sales success you will have.
