Maximize Your Personal Achievements

When I read through some of the Warrior Forum topic threads I see people admitting to a particular challenge that we all face as Internet Marketers. Most of us realize that in order to maximize our personal achievements, we need to sharpen our focus on our goals and plans.

Focus is certainly a key element of success, but where the breakdown occurs for many people is in actually creating and following a structured plan of development.

Having a detailed and purposeful step-by-step plan can be the difference between success and failure, and yet, a lot of people fail to factor this vitally important exercise into their business activities. They go at it willy-nilly, essentially leaving their hopes for success up to chance.

Successful marketers, on the other hand, do everything they can to enhance their chance for success, including draw up a carefully thought out plan of action for their Internet business.

They determine who their prime prospects are, what products and services will best appeal to them, how or where to reach them, how to approach them, get them into the prospecting, follow-up and sales funnel, how to deal with negative responses and how and when to move on to the next prospects.

They set clear and definite sales goals, including volume of sales and quotas and timelines. These are not random numbers drawn out of a hat or taken from some sales wish list; they are carefully calculated and written down. They are realistic and attainable.

To maximize your personal achievements, every step of the planning process must be thoroughly researched and thought out. Steps dealing with the marketing process are easier to determine because they can be based on numbers and other know factors.

Elements of the process that are a little more challenging are the personal elements such as your attitudes, your expectations, your organizational skills. These can be developed or improved with a little effort, and the effect they can have on your overall results can be amazing.

Again, this is where a lot of people get lazy and think they can make it without going to that extra effort. And this is where those who do not make that effort often end up in frustration.

Not only do you need to clarify your goals, create a plan and prioritize the important steps, but you need to also develop attitudes of self-confidence, dedication, self-discipline, hard work and persistence. These can all be cultivated, strengthened and fortified. There are plenty of resources available to guide you through the process to develop these important personal skills and attitudes.

You can even look into the lives of successful achievers to discover their secrets to success. Learn about their habits and attitudes and then apply the best of the best to your needs and circumstances.

To maximize your personal achievements, you need focus. And to help sharpen your focus, you need clearly defined goals and a realistic, results-based plan of action. Structure is important, but it must be purposeful and centered on the ultimate goal.
