My new business is Best Business Deals. Best Business Deals helps Australians connect and collaborate. Best Business Deals is a boutique business telecommunications and internet service provider. that takes the frustration out of communications. We build relationships with our clients and tailor solutions to their needs.

In the previous incarnation of our company, we had marketing support from major telecommunications carriers. This meant that we could be a little more risky with our marketing. Now we are out on ur own so marketing needs to be more targeted and laser specific.

The first thing I did was work out our target audience (I'm not going to share with you my target audience here) and from this I have decided to implement a system using the following tactics that are cost effective and targeted:

- Networking and participation with service organisations (I didn't join Lions to make money and it is not the most important reason for being a member but there is no reason that I can't do business with members of my Club and other club's in our zone.)
- Joining BNI BNI has been great for business and I made the strategic decision to take on a leadership role within my chapter to to build my profile
- Participation in online networking groups like Warrior Forum - Joining the Warrior Forum was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The Warrior Forum is valuable for Information, Support and Doing Business.
- Targeted networking through social media platforms - My personal favourites are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN and, increasingly important, Google+
- Relevant reports and whitepapers - I don't need to tell members of the Warrior Forum about the value/ importance of White Papers.
- Utilise public speaking opportunities - Local Service Organisations like Rotary and Lions often have speaking opportunities. I take advantage of all of these opportunities.
- Organise my own targeted business networking events - More often than not, networking events don't necessarily suit me or fit my target audience. The easy way to fix this is to organise my own events
- Targeted Newsletters - People value free content that is of value. I am developing a number of industry specific targeted newsletters.
- Daily blog posts - There is nothing wrong with repurposing content. Daily blog posts are great for SEO.
- Affiliate Program - To grow my business as large as I want to I need to recruit a sales team. An online affiliate program is a great way to get people selling my products across the country.
- Ask customers for testimonials - Social proof is important and customer testimonials build trust and goodwill.
- Create my own podcast - A podcast is a great way to build my credibility and appeal to those who are not as receptive to text.
- YouTube Videos - YouTube videos are important for the same reasons that Podcasts are important.
