Back in 2000, less than 1% of holidays were booked online.

In 2011, nearly 50% of holidays were booked online.

Nowadays, "Online reputation" and the management of it in the hospitality and tourism trade is vital.

Question is...

... do you search for and read reviews of your hotel destination and hotel before you book?

Which site(s) do you use?

tripadviser.com
travelocity.com
expedia.com
orbitz.com
oyster.com
.
.
.
other?

Now whilst online feedback was first popularised by ebay, its now become an essential part of the mix for a lot of businesses (not just those involved in the hospitality and tourism trade).

It's estimated that 60%+ people research where they're going to stay regardless whether they actually book online or not.

Do you do online research before you book your hotel or holiday?

Have you ever not decided to stay at a hotel or resort because of the reviews you've read or home videos you've watched of fellow travellers panning round their hotel room showing off the 1 star state of their 5 star bedroom or suite?

If you're a hotelier, resort owner, BnB or Guest House owner, what do you do to ensure your online reputation is managed correctly to help maintain & increase conversions online?

If you're NOT a hotelier, resort owner, BnB or Guest House owner, what do you do to ensure your online reputation is managed correctly to help maintain and increase conversions online?
