An experiment: How long before a blog gets a sizeable number of visitors that can make you money?

Ok here's an experiment that I'm doing. I'm trying to make a blog on the niche of entertainment specifically hollywood news. It is a very competitive niche not to mention the heavyweights in entertainment blogs like perezhilton, tmz, etc. etc. They all get a huge chunk of traffic out of the millions of potential traffic because let's face it a lot of people are interested with the lives of famous people. Nevertheless, this is an experiment so I'll still continue on no matter what.
I'll be blogging religiously everyday with a minimum of two posts. The objective of this experiment is to know how long (months) before a blog gets a sizeable number of visitors that can get you to earn money say at least $200 a month. The revenue will be coming from in-text contextual ads and other types of advertisement. My only means of promotion as of this time is Twitter. Every post is promoted on the microblogging service. I started the experiment last June 1, 2011 and it is really challenging. My experiment is called Celebrity Gossip US.
I will post an update regarding this experiment maybe in a couple of weeks. So good luck to me!
