Adult sites - yes I mean porn

Since I realized that the somewhat adult sites in my last venture were doing the best I thought it was time to look around at ways to make more money. I saw that adult sites pay around $40 just for a free signup. So, I decided to try 2 adult affiliate sites. I chose an offer to promote, bought two domains and tried to build my sites.
Result:
I never finished them.
Why:
I couldn't find enough good information - not even to buy - that would explain exacly how to promote these sites. BUT I kept trying. Until one day when my 11 year old son wanted to use my laptop :shock: I was grateful that he didn't open it because he would have seen images I was using on one of the sites.
I decided then I'd just let the sites expire when their year was up. No more porn for me... well... you know what I mean
Then I started looking around and noticed that the porn industry wasn't the only one that would pay $40 for a free signup

Hi..where did find your searches to be the most beneficial? What segments looked to be the most profitable to you? and finally, who else pays $40 for a free signup?
