How I made my first dollar and thousand dollar online

In 2005, I made my first dollar from the internet. Back then, Google was just up and coming. Yahoo, AltaVista, Lycos, AOL were the popular search engines. Have you even heard of some these names before? Hahaz. Back then in 2005, I was still serving the National Service and I wanted to be self sufficient and pay for my own University fees (I ended up with a total debt of $30K SGD after I graduated) I was first introduced to MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) and then internet marketing. I was astonished by the power of the income generated in MLM and joined it subsequently. I did not have much success in it but it totally blown me away and made me who I am today. Then, I ventured in internet marketing.
There were many HYIP (High yield investment program) and also bitcoin like e-currency companies. There were e-gold, e-bullion and many others. My first dollar was actually earned because I invested in a bitcoin-like company. This company happened to have PPC (Pay-per-click) advertising and I simply use the PPC advertising to advise a Clickbank product. Yes, as mentioned in my earlier post, I was promoting a lottery / lotto product. My first sale came within a week! Ka-ching $17USD. Back then, before the sub-prime crisis, $17USD worth nearly $29SGD and $29SGD spending power can be equivalent to $50SGD now. Imagine, my army pay was only a miserable $450 a month.
I was thrilled after earning my first dollar online. After a few more sales, I received a cheque of about $100++USD from Clickbank. I took a photo of it but I can’t find the photo right now.. sad
My investment with the internet company went downhill. I lost about $1500 instead. Lost another $13K in my MLM business. Then, I was only 21 years old. With all the debt, I decided to only focus on my study. But doing business has always been at the back of my mind. I went from choosing to study Science and eventually reapplied for Business Administration before enrolling into university.
Out from university, I only have one goal in mind, to clear my debt as fast as possible. I found a job and started working immediately. I did not have any grad trip and my first job’s salary was pathetic as it was post sub prime. It did not take long before I switched to serving the government to get a better pay. I managed to clear most of my debts and loans by the second year. My itch to do my own business got the better of me and with the help of the same friend who introduced me IM, I embarked onto internet marketing again.
During my university days, I did internet marketing out of hobby, I was simply only blogging and churning out articles. Did not earn a single cent. Soon, I was back in business while working full time. I was working shift hour and hence, I have more time for myself since everyone else was not available when I am on off. I wanted some extra cash and I did article marketing and direct linking. Yes, all I did was to pay someone to write articles for me at the start and then I distributed them on the internet. Did it worked? You bet it worked! That is how I earned my first thousand dollars from the internet.
I was again promoting another gambling product. I started writing 3 short articles DAILY. Giving gambling tips and distributing it on the internet with a promo link at the end of the article to promote the gambling product. Guess how much is the product? $197USD!! My commission? A cool $97USD for every single sale. Great isn’t it? With that, I made more than 10 sales and earned more than a thousand dollar. Just by using my spare time to write articles and distributing it. The money was cool, but my effort died off. Google Panda, Penguin strikes, articles criteria got tighten. The method became less effective. You can still check out profile for writing article here. So, the truth is that internet marketing works. Next, I venture into Solo Ads and is currently building my list now. My aim is to be able to release a product to help people to understand the basics of setting up a Solo Ads business and also to specialize in PPC advertising and affiliate marketing. That’s my plan for now and of course, I like to be able to help people and friends to also achieve their little dreams of earning extra income or even turning it into a full time income. PS: You might think that I haven’t been successful yet. I agree with you, but with the full time effort now, it won’t be long. Internet marketing is a real business. It you want full time income, expect full time commitment. So follow me together on this journey before you start paying thousands of dollars in the future. I paid thousand of dollars for coaching course before. In the end, the business model is the same. You have have to take massive actions! It is your life, your choice.
