What? Owning a Business is Cruel and a Torture?

My name is Jeremiah, Chinese, Age 21, Singaporean.
I've family members, relatives and friends who always come to me and asked "Why don't you find a proper job like all of your cousins and have a stable income/pay-check instead?" they continued "why even bother to start an Online-Business that doesn't guarantee your income and future at all? Don't you think that is a waste of time?" etc.
Their nagging doesn't just end there, 1 of my aunt even said that it's cruel and a torture to start a business.
I just can't believe that she said that so I asked her "Are you serious? You really think starting up a business is a torture?"
Her replied was "Building up a business is a waste of time, you'll get cheated by your partners etc"
Cut the long story short: I know they all come from good intention, but I just couldn't help it but to think that they are all WRONG.
I CANNOT guarantee success in any business, ALL businesses have risks. However, I'm still willing to put in my 100% for my current business and future businesses. WHY? Because business gives me the chance and opportunity to be financially free - so that I don't have to trade my precious time for a few bucks.
It's a torture to work in a job - 5 days a week for 45 years. It's a torture to work for a lousy boss, it's a torture for not being able to be with your love ones when they need you the most, It's a torture for not being able to quit your job because you simply cannot afford too. Too me, that's cruel.
Life is about making choices. And I pray that you'll make the right one this time. As we all know, working in a job today is not as effective as it used to be any more compared to 50 years ago.
**My definition of Business: Business can run without me and still be profitable**
