Are Free Leads Really "FREE"?

Don’t be fooled on what is around the internet today in mentioning “FREE” leads for your product and list. Everywhere you click there are messages that say “Free leads for life” or “1000′s of FREE leads here”. This is all folly and I do not want you to fall for it.

The truth is a lead is never “free”. Each and every lead that is brought in by an ad of yours online or even offline somewhere is there by the efforts and money that has been invested.

That being said, there are different types of leads.

The first type of lead is a paid lead. A lead that you paid for could be from low cost to upwards in monetary value depending on the strategy used. Through banners, pay-per-click mediums, press releases, targeted bought leads, and radio advertisements just to name a few; leads are brought in through a monetary value being placed on a site or through a service to draw the lead into your system. This works well if you, of course, have the monetary funds for this. In most cases with a new internet marketer just getting started in the business because they are tired of their current situation, the monetary funds are not there to pay for a lot of leads and medium to high advertising to get this accomplished. That is where type 2 leads come into play.

Type 2 leads are leads that are collected through methods where monetary funds are not present. Notice here that I did not mention “free leads”. Some of the mediums and strategies that this can be done by are blogging, forums, video marketing, word of mouth, and social media to name a few. Do these leads seem “free” to you? I don’t think so!

So called, “free” leads require a lot of time and effort usually because you must to a certain extent get to know your lead or prospect and create a trust in that situation. Leading by example makes this happen and any leader will strive at networking.

Leads are a basic need of any business to stay in business and operate effectively. Make sure that no matter your situation, you are taking action each and everyday to generate these leads, whether you are a millionaire or a beginner barely scraping by to get your business off of the ground. Stick to the plan and never give up!

Success Will Come!
