Train Like A Soldier

I had a thought come through my mind about 30 minutes ago and I wanted to get it out there before it left my brain. I see a real relevance to my business and I am sure you will too. If it doesn’t make total sense or something is wrong with the wording, leave it alone. I am trying to shoot this out before the thoughts leave my mind.
First of all I would like to say a huge ‘THANK YOU” to all of our United States military. Doesn’t matter what branch, what rank, or years served. The point is, you served when others would not and we are free for that reason. THANK YOU.
I have so much respect and a sense of aww when I think about our military. Joining the military is the one regret that I have in my life. I was thinking about the training that our military goes through from the time they get sent to bootcamp, through their schooling, their training (many kinds), and then the battles that they engage in. They really go through some grueling times. The bodies and minds are not in shape most of the time when going to boot camp. Recruits go through so much becoming a soldier. Some even drop out throughout the process of becoming a soldier. But there are some that make it. When that day comes when graduation comes and recruits turn into trained and well respected soldiers, the minds and the bodies are in order. Of course, there are drill sergeants that take care of pushing these things along but the truth is a person either has it in them when they sign that original paper saying they want to join or they don’t.
Let’s switch sides for a minute to our businesses.
Take a business for a minute. When we first start out in online marketing or frankly, any type of entrepreneurial venture we are not all of the time well prepared with our body and minds. We “sign that paper” or “join a company” to work with and then the true training starts. There will be a lot of times when you may feel that the day and circumstances of the day has gotten the best of you but just like those recruits; you are one day closer to graduation. Some give up and some give in because they don’t think they can do it and that is a good decision for them. If a soldier is doubting himself, he doesn’t really need to be serving this country. He is not only dangerous for himself but for his fellow soldiers that he is protecting. Same with the business. If someone doesn’t think they can do it, they can’t. The drive is missing for whatever reason. That is really ok though.. We need people in other forms of business too. That person that makes it through all the obstacles and gets to the graduation takes on a new set of circumstances. They made it.. They need to celebrate and move on to the next task.
For a soldier the next task is schooling, training, and then battles. Same for business… There needs to be some type of learning and constant learning. The training never stops. An entrepreneur will go through battles as well in which his training and learning will be tested. The amount of training and how serious the soldier or entrepreneur are will prove either positive or negative in the battles.
Let’s take it to the next level.
We have parts of our military that are considered “elite.” Groupings such as the Rangers, Seals, Green Berets, etc. These men and women have taken their battles and responsibilities head on and have wanted to go further. They put their mind to something and they make it! That is something to be proud of. The same can apply for an entrepreneur. That man or woman does not settle in and get content with being where they are at and they push to take it further. They are tired of the $1000 a month that they may be making and they make a goal to do whatever it takes to make $2500 per month.
There are only a select few soldiers that ever make it to those ranks and a select few of entrepreneurs that make it to the 6-figure level but that does not mean that it is impossible. You need a drive and you need to take everything that comes your way head on and learn from it. Training is a must and with the right kind of training, you will get it done.
Never stop and never give up and make it to that elite level. You have it in you!
