Your Brain Doesn't Want You to Succeed

You're all out of whack!
What I mean by that is that you are out of sync.
what you say you want and what you actually want
are two very different things
You say you want to lose weight but what you really
want is to eat that extra bit of cake and sit on your arse
You say you want to be a successful business owner
but you do not read what successful business owners
read, watch what they watch or act how they act
You just like to talk about it.
We say we want this and that but our actions tell a
different story.
We come up with amazing business idea's that we tell our
friends and family about. We get very excited but
3 months later we haven't done a damn thing about it
We make excuses that life got in the way. Or now you
have an even better idea
Why is that?
It's because TALKING about it gives us a feeling that we
have actual done it.
Talking about it is exciting, dreaming about what your life
will be like when you have the perfect body or that million
dollar business
It's fun and it makes us feel good
But doing the actual work, doing what it takes to get those things
is hard, tedious and not so much fun
So our powerful super computer of a brain doesn't like these
feelings and pushes us back to just thinking and dreaming
about it because that feels good
I urge you to get in sync.
Make your actions match what you want to accomplish.
Want to build that business? Study people who have done what
you want to do and take one step forward each day
You do not need to map out the whole journey just know where
you want to go and take a small step forward each and everyday
to that goal.
It's just like when you are driving home at night.
You know where you want to go but the headlights only allow you
to see 20 yards ahead but each time you move forward more
road opens up to you.
You cannot see they whole journey but you make it home each
night.
It's the same thing.
Move towards your goals and dreams and enjoy the journey.
Each time you are about to do something ask yourself this
simple question.
"Is what I'm about to do bringing me closer to my goals or taking
me away from them?"
Hold yourself accountable.
