Here are some simple and effective, yet often overlooked tips to make money as an affiliate.
1. Unique Content
Nothing will kill your SEO rankings faster than if you have an affiliate site with content that is the same as the merchant and thousands of other affiliates.
Seriously, why do you think Google would rank your site ahead of the merchant and thousands of affiliates ahead of you?
So forget the scrapers and content feeds and write your own content.
2. Realize Google Hates Affiliates
Google has long been known to hate affiliates. Its executives have said so. Many of the webmaster guidelines have special terms for affiliates. Leaked Google documents have equated affiliates with spam.
And thousands of affiliates have been torched in Google's rankings.
My solution is to not let Google know you are an affiliate by using Elf Links.
