Google Schizophrenia

This is gonna be a quick post, but it sure is about a neat subject: Google's schizophrenia
What I mean by that is that Google actually has two different ranking/crawling mechanisms.
There's the normal, dreaded authority side of it, where is the plain, normal, HARD-TO-RANK one.
But there's also a softer side to Google: The "news" or "viral" side, where it's a lot easier to rank.
Go and do a search for, say, local dentist. Then, do a search for the newest product launches.
