I'm Laurie Rogers and I have been marketing online since 1997, because of that my bio is pretty long. I started out by taking an online consultant course in which I was given a couple of mentors to show me the ropes. I also went back to school to study business, where I majored in marketing and business law.
Not long after, I launched my first ezine to start generating income for myself. Fortunately for me, my mentors were honest and ethical and they had a lot of contacts in the industry already, so it didn't take me very long to start making money.
I was the editor of over 100 ezines and newsletters, wrote a book of resources with Jimmy D. Brown (which was a best seller). I was a featured writer for DEMC small business ezine - which was THE ezine you wanted to have your stuff published in at the time and worked along side Lynn Terry, Mike Merz, Charlie Page, Yanik Silver and a bunch of other now, highly successful marketers.
A year later, I got out of the editing business and moved on to co-registration, because of that, I was one of the first female marketers to ever run an affiliate program and to make $5,000 a day (although technically it was almost $10,000 a day when you took into consideration the exchange rate). I also ran syndicated version of my column on spam and ezine publishing from DEMC to over 2 million weekly readers - something that was unheard of at the time.
I have no holds barred personality, which is either respected and appreciated or not lol and am a bit of an acquired taste for some, but I am whom I say I am and mean what I say. And I usually don't say anything unless I know what I'm talking about, because if I don't, I will ask someone. I also have a quirky sense of humour, that often gets misconstrued. Right now I ghost write for a lot of top internet marketers, have a few featured writing gigs, run a PLR company http://provenprofitsplr.com.
I am just in the process of launching an events web site with Seth Larrabee, a Single Life and Dating site with Adil Amarsi (where I will be sharing my candid experiences of re-entering the dating world) .. and I also own a few businesses tailored to Cougars ..
I attribute a lot of my success to my mentor's; Mike Merz, Terry Dean, Jimmy D. Brown, Frank Garon and my colleagues.
