"But I Don't Wanna Build a List"

"I Just Want to do Affiliate Marketing"
That's an email from a fella named John from the UK
and I've had a few simliar emails...
And I don't blamethe people for thinking this way due to the way affiliate marketing is presented.
So here is the response I sent to John..and he replied that what I said made sense, and I think you'll agree.
In order to do affiliate marketing, you
need to build a list.
Traffic simply isn't cheap enough these days to
survive on direct linking.
So if you are not willing to build a list you are wasting your time as no business outside the tourist industry can survive without repeat customers.
So in order to build a list, you need to give people a reason to subscribe.
That comes in the form of the free report.
You need to create something of value whether your
follow my system or anybody else's system.
I teach people to sell the report instead of giving it
away so that you can have affiliates do the heavy lifting of driving traffic.
Unless you think you can drive more traffic than
an army of affiliates, it just makes sense.
Here is where someone will usually say "but I don't think I could sell that free report"
My response is that if you were planning on giving away a free report that is not worth at least $10-$20 you are wasting your time as nobody would ever buy from you.
You can't just give away crappy content and expect people to open your emails.
If you do it the free report way, you have to drive all the traffic yourself...and you are building a list of freebie seekers.
Do it my way, you let other people do the hard work of
traffic generation...
and you'll be building a list of buyers who will buy from you again and again.
Which way sounds easier...and WAY more profitable?
I like to do the work upfront as opposed to grinding
every day for traffic.
If that makes sense to you like it did to John,

I hope all is well
