Marketing with the Kardashians
Posted 9th February 2017 at 02:47 PM by Mark-Dickenson
Back when I was in high school in 1990 or '91,
MTV decided
to try an experiment to see "what happens when people
stop being polite..and start getting real."
Well, the experiment worked big time and they filmed
quite a few seasons...and now
the reality TV phenomenon is off the charts.
Take for instance, the Kardashians.
I remember Robert Kardashian, a famous attorney
from the OJ Simpson case...now I can't go anywhere without seeing
his family on a magazine or wherever.
They drive me nuts...but there is a valuable lesson here.
The reality show phenomenon(more like addiction)
is a by product of the
fact that people can't get enough of real people.
Now, the above family isn't exactly everyday real people
but most of the other reality shows
that many turn into on a daily basis consist of real people
and the ratings are always through the roof.
I tell people in my coaching program-http://thesystemcoaching.com
and in this newsletter
that if you just be real, people will buy from you.
No need to come across as some mighty guru.
You see this all the time in the various blogs and such
that are super popular.
I visit Paleo Blogs and other type blogs...and they
are almost like reality tv...
but without the drama. The people don't go
there to just get recipes...they go there to find out more about
the owner of the blog
and their triumphs and tribulations.
So whatever niche you are in...or decide to go in, just
be yourself. When you build an
email list or write a blog post or short report, be yourself
and make sure
your personality shines through.
Being yourself will also help you stand out. This email
is probably quite a bit
different than any other email in your inbox today
So use the reality tv phenomenon to your advantage.
And if you would like to take your marketing to the next level
