There's one mockingly simple concept that profitable internet site owners understand. And that concept simply is this - five minus three equals two.

I guess another way of describing this concept is that it takes money to make money. And, as long as what you're getting back is just that little bit more than what you're forking out – then you're on the right path.

Sometimes, I'm truly gob smacked by the mindset of some people who try and make a profit online. I was about to loosely call them “internet business folk”, but honestly I'd be really hard pressed to justify calling anyone that when they don't seem to understand even the most basic concepts of business. Perhaps you've seen them? Perhaps you even know of one or two. They display traits like these:

Savagely Tight Fisted With Spending On Their Own Education

Look, there's a strong dividing line between wise cost control and just refusing to pay for quality tools, content, software, education and other key resources. Some people just don't seem to get that. Rather than slash their learning curve into fractions, by investing in the very best of education for themselves, their families and their business, they opt instead to search for endless hours to find what they're looking for, free.

Never mind that the “free” information they usually settle for is horridly outdated. Or put together by some foreign ghostwriter who hasn't the foggiest insight or even a single sinew of experience that they're writing about. Or the free resource is really just a sales letter cleverly masquerading as an eBook or whatever. Nah, sod all that – it's FREE!

The simple point is this – if you're trying to set up an internet business – something that presumably is intended to generate real revenues, profits and income for you. Then, you owe it to yourself to
wisely make your investment choices, FREE isn't FREE and in the long run, you get what you pay for. Do your due diligence and invest in yourself and your business. No one is truly going to give you a million dollar business. You must build it.
