The Next Great Value Leader In Wireless

Wednesday October 3rd, 2012, representatives for both T-mobile and MetroPCS announced that they a have agreed to in principal a merger deal combining the 4th and 5th largest wireless providers respectively to become what they describe as the value leader in wireless. This comes as no shock as MetroPCS had been rumored throughout 2012 of entertaining offers and suitors.

So, is this a good move and if so why? Well yes, it is a good thing as the two companies will now be able to pool their collective spectrum licenses and continue growing each brand, T-Mobile as the value contract player and MetroPCS as the leader on the prepaid side. Watch in the coming months as more announcements will be made known, but also watch how Sprint PCS reacts to this deal. You never know what they might do next!
