A traffic exchange is a type of website which provides a service for webmasters in exchange for traffic… per wiki
The key to using traffic exchanges to increase web traffic, is understanding that the person will only be viewing your site for 10–20 seconds… Keep this in mind while designing your landing page for this traffic generation method.
For example: knowing you only have a few seconds to grab someone’s attention, it only makes sense to try to come up with something different, something amusing etc … think outside the box.
There are two options for getting traffic to your Website, paid traffic and free traffic… but you don’t want to be sitting there all day clicking away to get credits – that would be a HUGE waste of your valuable time.
