Upsells - The Worst Selling Strategy in Internet Marketing!

I've been in the Warrior Forum for a few years now, and I have bought quite a few WSOs. I find that there's one mistake that 99.99% of all internet markers are making.
Tell me if this has happened to you . . .
You've been hit with Upsells - before you ever see for yourself that the method/promise/claim actually works.
For me, this is the most frustrating part of buying WSOs, or doing internet marketing in general. I know the common practice is to put together an upsell package to make more money. But this concept (which everybody seems to try), breaks a fundamental rule of commerce.
"Trust me. This will work for you."
"Trust me. This will work better for you if you pay me more."
"I'm not going to tell you what it is, but trust me, it will work."
This "something-for-nothing" is the tactic that most marketers live by.
If you look at all of the Fortune 500 companies, they didn't get where they are today because they tried to squeeze every penny out of customers WITHOUT OFFERING VALUE. Successful upselling comes from proving to your customers that your products do what they claim - not asking them to "trust you."
Here's a simple idea:
Prove your product works FIRST! Let your customers see for themselves that it does what you claim. Then offer upsells.
I need to see that your product delivers on whatever claims you make. Once it delivers, you can sell me whatever you have.
Upselling without REAL proof that the product delivers is probably the overall worst selling strategy in play today.
