Writing an amazing content is only a part of the job. Making people read it and spread the word is the more difficult part. Below are top ten things you can do to ensure your content reaches more eyes and goes viral.

1. Give a great headline – The title or headline you give to your content is highly important. It should be relevant to your content and should be attractive and engaging too.

2. Make it concise – if you want people to share your content with others, they should be able to go through it fully. Keeping the content short and concise is important if you want your readers to stick with your content till the end of it.

3. Add some feeling to the content – research has found it that posts that appeal to our emotional senses are apt to perform better and shared a lot of times. Even if you are presenting statistics, add some human element into it in a way that it doesn’t stick out.prenos

4. Add a number to your title – A study of the popular posts and viral contents show that contents that have a specific number in the title performs better. If you are listing out reasons why your product is better than your competitors, you can provide a headline that says ‘5 Reasons You Will Be Happy With XYZ’.

5. Include important keywords in your post – Choose keywords that are often searched in your area and include them in your posts. Do not spam your content with keywords and similar words but include it naturally in the post a couple of times.

6. Post your content in niche forums – Posting and commenting in forums with a link to your content is a great way to promote a post. The more eyes your content catches, the more chances are of the content going viral.

7. Time it right – the timing of your post is important. Choose a time when your target audience either go to work or are more likely to take a break. 8 o clock in the morning is a good time and so is the approximate lunch time of your audience.

8. Come up with contents that resonate with your target audience – Continuously analyse your market to understand it better. Bring up contents that revolve around the important issues that are being discussed.

9. Submit your content to relevant sites – submit your posts and contents to as many popular sites as possible. If you have a blog post you want to go viral, post it on Reddit, StumbleUpon, Pinterest, ezine and similar sites. If your content is in the form of a video, do not forget to upload it on YouTube and post the link in relevant forums and websites.

10. Be Social – social media is the important player in deciding if the content goes viral or not. You should have an active social presence. When you put links of your content on the social media, you will directly have a good number of people looking at your posts. It gives a good start for your content.
