If you ever plan on doing any persuading, this should help you. Are you familar with the three main persuasive writing techniques? Aristotle came up with these over twenty centuries ago, and what's amazing is they work just as well today.
Technique #1 is called ETHOS. This is all about the actual indvidual who is attempting to persuade, and their credibility and reputation. We are going to heed someone with strong credibility much more than someone without.
The second is LOGOS, and this is about making what you say sound logical and reasonable, without jumping to wild conclusions.
The third is PATHOS, or the appeal to emotion. Humans are emotional creatures, and we'll often do things based on our emotions and feelings.
Each one is very effective, so combine all three for maximum effect.
