HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING WORKOUT

WHAT IS IT?

HIIT is short bursts of intense exercise at maximum effort followed by a brief period of rest.

WHY DO I CARE?

HIIT is a much more effective way to burn fat. You can burn up to 3 times more fat and for up to 24-48 hours after a HIIT workout.

HIIT workouts usually take no more than about 30 minutes to complete.

HIIT can also be done in the comfort of your own home with little to no equipment needed.

DAY ONE

Stretching: I always recommend starting any workout with stretching to warm up your muscles to help avoid injury.

Do Bicycles and High Knees for 30 seconds each, then rest for 1 minute

Do Plank Jacks and Pulsing Squats for 30 seconds each, then rest for 1 minute

Do Lunge Hops and Mountain Climbers for 30 seconds each, then rest for 1 minute

Repeat for 4-5 circuits.

Note of Caution: I found out the hard way to avoid drinking water, or only take an occasional sip, otherwise you may get nauseous as you do a lot of bouncing up and down with this workout!

Additional Note: If you find that you can’t complete a circuit, try modifying rest periods to 30-60 between every exercise until you build up enough endurance to complete circuit without modification.
