Many people get bogged down because they are unfocused and try too many things at once. AdSense here, AdWords there, focusing on this niche and that niche, sometimes you need to just stop, focus on one thing, and be happy with one success per day. Can you make just one or two sales today or eight new subscribers today? That is all you need.

If you have not made a decent amount of money online yet, you might not know that the only thing you need to do is work in small steps. Sure, one day you might have a massive buyer's list and be able to land a dozen joint ventures any time you want, but if you are just starting out, you have to prove yourself and build traffic. Do not think about thousands of dollars or tens of thousands of dollars, just focus on 100 dollars or so. If your goal for this week was just two sales a day, even if you only sell a $7 product, you are set for 100 dollars in the next 7 days. That is 420 dollars per month, in addition to what you are making now.

How do you make those two sales? Article marketing and forum posting will be your best free and low-cost solutions. If you are just starting out, paid traffic is an easy way to lose a ton of money. Write one or two articles per day, record them as videos and submit to video sites, and post them as blogs. Post a few replies per day to message boards with your signature link. Post comments on other high traffic blogs to get even more backlinks to you.

What you need to do, instead of "hunting" for your next paycheck, is go on a campaign to slowly build traffic... one article, forum post, blog post, and video at a time. Just get your two sales per day or eight opt-in e-mail subscribers per day.

Focusing on one task at a time is a planned approach to marketing on the Internet. The 'one step at a time' approach is surely positive. Being an Internet marketer takes practice while learning the ropes bit by bit and slowly building your profile. Being proactive - going ahead and posting your work in the way of articles, forum posts, etc. instead of waiting of work is definitely a good start. However, how long this will take to start a steady income is a situational aspect yet to be assessed.

Sounds good Jayden. Even if you don't know what you're doing yet, putting 100% into one project one week and 100% into the next project the next week will be a lot easier to maintain rather than juggling a bunch of projects at once.

Even if you're just starting out, and supporting yourself through freelancing, why not spend all day every day freelancing and JUST dedicated Fridays or JUST dedicate weekends towards building your own business?
