Second Income Coach: Step 1 Connections
Posted 6th June 2011 at 11:37 AM by RobertJBanach
Please read this through before taking any action, ask me questions or make comments, before getting started on this step, as to keep you from unnecessarily redoing anything.
Step 1: Connections
One of the very first things we need to do is to develop you as an expert in a niche, when someone is looking for answers about something in particular about that niche, they will be referred to you. It is not an easy task, mind you, but one that can be accomplished over a couple, few weeks. Now of course the fun part is choosing the niche you would like to be an expert in.
You need to think about this, and the more unique, the better. There are a ton of “build your downlines”, “sponsor thousands”, “marketing mastery”, etc.
You need to study the world of internet marketing and find a niche that needs another, or the only, expert. There are a lot of niches out there that need experts, daily things come up that I have difficulty finding answers to and waste a lot of time looking for those answers.
Once that niche is chosen we will bombard the web w/ the keywords that will take you to the top of Google & Bing, and make those queries like I mention above, easy to get answered. When we can do that we are on the road to a very prosperous future.
Another key in this success formula is that you need to find others to work with, you try to do this alone it will take you many months, maybe years. You need fellow marketers that look to you for advice and in return send you business, and that you will do the same for them. Too many people in there marketing efforts try to do too many things, spreading themselves so thin that they get nothing accomplished. You need to be specific!
While you are figuring out your niche, you need to be developing a following, and associating with people. These people will eventually either do business with you, or they will become part of your team (where you will refer people to each other).
Build your following:
Facebook | Twitter | LinkedIn | For More - Click Here!
Set up free accounts @ each one of the above, complete your profile in full, and associate w/ 10 people at each one. DO NOT mix these w/ your personal accounts!!!
These are only suggestions, the first four are pretty much mandatory, the others are recommended, and others will be added and or deleted, but this is a great starting point. Also, these are social media networks, do not confuse these with forums, we will learn more about forums in Step 3.
Also, try to use the same “name” for each account, whether it is your name, or a business name, they should all be the same. This is a mistake I made, and regret deeply, because I have three different names and it takes away from my singleness of purpose. Try to use ONE name!
This will take you a day or two, do not rush, though you can always change things later, and you will, I still do updates on them occasionally, but if you set them up right the first time it makes it easier than having to go back unnecessarily to do updates.
After you are familiar with each one, do your people search and find 10 people to follow. People in the internet marketing arena. People, not businesses. I prefer people that have smiles on their faces and their profile talks about them, not trying to sell you something. I look for real people, because real people buy! But, that is up to you.
Each day you will spend 20 to 40 mins, following 10 more on 5 of them, so that you will be adding 50 follows / day, until you have a thousand on each one. This is an important goal to set for yourself, I am still working on it myself, w/ everything that needs to be done it gets difficult @ times, but it needs to be on your daily goals sheet.
Now, just about everyone / every site is going to be trying to sell you something, we are not buyers, not @ this time, we are in the building / connection phase. Some of the stuff is going to look great, do not buy, as there will be more stuff out there that will look even better and you’ll regret some of the things you did buy. We’ll get to the adding programs phase later.
Connections & Collections – Two of the most important things you want to gather, when ever possible, are the email and Skype name of whoever you associate with. These are going to be your mailing list(s), your followers, your trainees (so to speak), make sure they are in a specific file on your computer, do not mix these w/ friends, family, vendors, etc. In a later step we will have you put together a weekly ‘expert’ newsletter that you will send out to all of your connections, and post a link to on the social media sites. More about this in another Step.
When you have completed the sign ups on each of the 10 above sites, send me the links, I will be one of your followers, and of course you will be kind enough to follow me back on each one.
Step 2: Webinars, Books & Videos – Upon completion of Step 1.

Step 3: Blogging, Articles & Forums
Step 4 and more….
Also, save this email in a word doc or other format, as you may want to use a version of it when you start building your downlines.
