So what is an Autoresponder?

Basically is a tool that automates your mailing list and enables your to make templates, emails and newsletters. One of the most important features is it can automate emails and send them hourly, daily, weekly for you! If you are trying to build a list you need an autoresponder.

Pricing :

Getresponse and Aweber have different pricing, the most important thing is look for deals before signing up- both do 30 days free and you can often find a coupon etc to use.

Getresponse have three plans, Email Plan, Pro Plan And Max Plan.

Email Plan is the basic package which gives you the facility to create landing pages and templates and have a 1000 subscribers. $15

Pro Plan gives you up to 2500 subscribers $25

Max Plan up to 100,000 subscribers (That would be nice)!! From $65-$580

Awber

Aweber has 5 pricing plans,

Up to 500 subscribers $19

Up to 2500 $29

Up to 5000 $49

Up to 10,000 $69

Up to 25,000 $149

Both companies offer discounts if you pay for a year in advance.

So pricing is pretty much the same although if you have a small list then Getresponse is the definite winner.

Templates And Extras

Both companies offer a good selection of templates which are drag and drop so you can craft emails, landing pages and campaigns very quickly.

Personally I think Awebers templates look better and are easier to use. To be fair all the templates are pretty basic but well up to the job.

Data

Both Aweber and Getresponse give you the ability to import email addresses you may have had on a previous server. Getresponse also gives you the ability to import from Gmail and Outlook and others (This is super helpful)

Who Wins!

Both platforms are very good, both are good for the newbie and pretty easy to use. Getresponse has 24 hour online chat and the service is just excellent should you get into any trouble.

Getresponse offers a free 30 day trial.

Slightly better monthly offers

Discount if you pay in advance

Built in landing page

Webinars (Extra)

Aweber’s pages look better possibly more responsive.

Excellent customer service

Offer a free trial but you have to put in credit card details.

So this is a quick lowdown and both have many more features, but taking everything into account Getresponse wins for me- and the autoresponder I actually use!
