What is a Landing Page?
WHAT IS IT
So, what is a landing page? You may or may not be aware exactly what it is, but if you spend a lot of time on the internet, the chances are that you’ve landed on one of these landing pages before, yourself.
Basically put, its a page where you are asked to enter in your name and email and other details for a particular product or a service that you may be looking at.
Take a look at this screenshot below to refresh your mind, and to get a feel of it – I’m sure this looks familiar to you, maybe not particularly about getting rid of your double chin, but at least you get the point.

Another way to look at a landing page is thinking of it as an online shop window. Typically, with a picture/video and a few bullet-points on the description of the product/service.
An offline world example would be, lets say if you’re shopping around in a mall, you walk past a row of shops with displays, and you walk into the shop at appeals to you the most.
The only difference is, that in offline world, you do not leave your name and email at the counter for them to contact you on.
THE PURPOSE
So, the purpose of a landing page is quite straight forward, which is simply to capture your prospect’s details – who click and land on your landing page and are looking at what you have to offer/sell – Interested, but not necessarily at the buying stage yet.
They can then enter in their details, so that you can stay in touch by keeping the communication doors open, to help them make a decision on the product/service that you’re offering.
Not only that, you can also re-sell to yourprevious buyers by sending them offers.
You can also offer a free gift in exchange for their details.
And this is great, because you’re providing them with great value, which everybody wants.
