As we all know, Scrapebox is one of the best pieces of marketing software of 2010. Not only can you perform tasks in minutes that would normally takes hours, days, or even weeks, but also with a little, “out of the box” thinking, you can use SB to make money.
Here is a list of idea’s or “methods” that I’ve seen people use to make some quick change using Scrapebox.

1) Selling Blog Lists – Recently this has become more popular as more people have learned how to effectively harvest and filter out auto approve blogs. I’ve seen people selling lists on various forums ranging from $20 – $99. I’ve seen a guy selling 100k auto approve blogs for $99! At the time I thought the price was a bit ridiculous and it would never sell but it turns out the thread became 5 pages long and he ended up with ton’s of satisfied customers. Can you imagine simply selling a list of blogs you harvested and filtered with Scrapebox for $99? Selling that list to 10 people would be $990! Pretty insane amount of money for so little work. The steps to making an auto approve list are pretty easy but can be time consuming if you’re using the proper settings and tools.

A basic method for finding auto approve list:
  • Harvest WordPress/Blogengine/etc. blogs
  • Post your links
  • Use “check links” button to find which blogs automatically approve your links.
  • Save the list and repeat until you have a nice large list of auto approve blogs.
That’s the basic idea of building a “master list” of auto approve blogs. I plan on making a more in depth video tutorial covering this if enough people are interested.

2) Selling .edu/.gov blog lists - Again, this is a simple method to make some easy bank. By using some common footprints coming up with massive lists of .edu/.gov blogs is a breeze. Even if you Scraped a list of 50k .edu blogs you could easily sell it for $10-15 minimum, so just by selling 5-6 copies you could easily make back the money you’ve paid for Scrapebox. If you Scraped and created a list of auto-approve .edu/.gov links the list could go for 10x more!

Here are a few examples of .edu/.gov footprints:
  • site:.edu “powered by wordpress” + “keyword”
  • site:.gov “powered by wordpress” + “keyword”
  • site:.edu “powered by wordpress” + “keyword” + “leave a comment”
  • site:.gov “powered by wordpress” + “keyword” -”comments are closed”
This list goes on and on. It’s best to try and come up with your own footprints to see what works best for you. Having a nice set of private proxies will make your life a lot easier when scraping a large list of blogs.

3) Offering Scrapebox Services – If you own a copy of Scrapebox this is another easy way to make your money back or pay for your private proxies/VPS monthly charges. Every month offer up a small Scrapebox service.

Example Service Packages:
  • Package 1 – 1,000 link blast $10
  • Package 2 – 2,000 link blast $12
  • Package 3 – 5,000 link blast $18
  • Package 4 – 10,000 link blast $22
You don’t have to guarantee the links will be live right away, only that the links have been submitted. If you have a large auto approve list and can guarantee the amount of links in each package, you can charge a lot more. Again, the pricing and amount of links was just an example. Charging more or less is completely up to you.

4) Blasting out affiliate offers - I’ve never done this method personally but I have seen a few people talk about their success with this method. It’s important to be careful when blasting out direct affiliate links in blog comments because blog owners can get mad and report you which will most likely end up getting your account shut down. The best way to do it would be to build a well researched and niche targeted web 2.0 property (squidoo lense, hub-page, blogger blog, etc) with your affiliate offer. This will reduce the risk of getting your account shut down by pissed off blog owners. I’ve seen people report making $200-300 per week blasting their affiliate offers to large lists of blogs. In order for this to be successful you want to make sure the list of blogs you comment on are as relevant to your affiliate offer as possible. Sending traffic from a health blog to your website on making music most likely won’t convert. Keep it targeted!

5) Adsense – I haven’t seen many people talk about this and it’s probably for good reason. Blasting your adsense site out to 1,000′s of blogs definitely runs a risk of losing your adsense account if Google catches on. Back when I first picked up Scrapebox in 2009 there was an a lot better ratio of auto approve blogs. Every day I would blast my adsense site out to 1,000-5,000 blogs and would see my adsense increase by a few dollars. I repeated this for a good month and never had any trouble with blog owners or Google. Of course this is a risky method and I really wouldn’t advise trying it. This is just to give an example of how its possible to make some extra money with Scrapebox. I no longer have an adsense website and most likely wouldn’t risk trying it again. Now days I like to keep my methods as white hat as possible (sounds pretty funny coming from a Scrapebox user).

6) Using the domain Scraper to flip domains - Using the SB “TDNAM” Scraper add-on you can easily find keyword rich expiring domains from yahoo’s domain auctions. I’ve picked up quite a few good domains by using this add-on. If you’re searching for domains that already have established PR (page rank) you might want to run them through the fake PR checker before purchasing. I’ve found some domains with nice pr3-pr4 ratings that ended up being fake PR. Do your research before making a purchase. If done correctly you can definitely get a head start in your niche.
You can see how easy it is to make money with Scrapebox … All it takes is a some creative thinking and a little work.

Do you have any make money methods? Leave a comment and let me know how you make money with Scrapebox. I’d love to hear your method!
