400 words doesn't sound like a lot of time to get your thoughts and the important information across. It seems too short a time frame to get all that information out to the world. But if you do it right, it can be just perfect. Long enough to give some real content, while being short enough not to lose your readers attention.

Ready to learn how to write an informative 400 word article?

First step is to cut the fluff.

Many writers add in quite a bit of redundant information. If it's already been said, skip the crap and reiteration and simply continue to provide quality information without the filler.

If the sentence says something that was already told, cut it. You don't need to drill the information into your reader's brain, you simply need to deliver it.

And seriously don't use crap filler lines like, in the article blah blah blah. They know it's an article, all they need to know is what you're going to tell them. No need to state it's an article.

Do your research.

The more knowledgeable you are on a topic, the easier time you'll have getting your point across. Having a little knowledge about your topic is key to keeping the crap out and still letting your readers know what you want them to know.

Forget the keyword line.

Just write and you'll be fine. Force feed the keywords and you'll end up dragging out your article unnecessarily. Write it from your heart and mind and you'll get them in there anyways.

Make an outline.

You're less likely to get lost along the way and start to ramble and blubber on if you already have a plan in place of what you're going to say. Stick to your outline and 400 words can pack major impact.

Lose the hype.

No need to overdue things with extra adjectives and filler. If you can say it in two words say it in two words, no need to add 3 to the front to over exaggerate what you're trying to say. They'll understand it just as well without all the additives. If not better.

400 words may seem like a short amount of time to get a point across, but done correctly 400 words can be the perfect balance between content delivery and attention sustainability. No need to overdue either. 400 is more than enough time to get a point across and not lose your readers.
