Article marketing is a very effective and useful method of traffic generation and promotion for the online business owner looking to capitalize and maximize their efforts. With a little bit of time investment, you can easily create a steady income and traffic.


How do you best maximize your efforts?


By focusing on quality. The quantity versus quality debate will continue on forever. By utilizing quality though, you can ensure your own level of quantity ensues.


You see, through creating well written, concise and informative articles, you can almost guarantee yourself more syndication. And by utilizing syndication to the best you can, the quantity will follow.


What happens is you write your article and submit it to as many directories as possible. Because you have focused on the quality of the content you are providing, other publishers will pick up your content and publish it to their sites. And this syndication can mean big traffic.


Think about it for a moment.


An e-zine publisher sees your article. They decide it would be the perfect fit to mail out to their list of 20,000. Now you have a possible 20,000 people reading your article. A certain percentage that read the article decide it is good enough to pass on to their own lists. And the snowballing effect begins.


The result?


You end up syndicated on sites all over the web, bringing you massive amounts of laser targeted traffic to your site. Then of course, a certain percentage of those visitors purchase the items you are selling. And you cash in on the original quality of your articles.


And it is through that method that quality will always trump quantity and breed it's own level on quantity.


But the benefits of quality don't stop there.
Picture this for a moment. You come across two articles on the topic you're looking for. One is relatively long with a whole lot of information packed into it. The other is short and full of filler and fluff. Whose site are you going to visit?


You look at the two articles and wonder, "Hmm. Who really knows his stuff?" The longer, more informative quality article writer of course. The other article just doesn't have enough to it to tell you about the knowledge of the author. You've just branded yourself as an expert over the quantity writer.


This is why quality will always trump quantity. If you really want to get the most out of article marketing, provide your readers with articles of quality and information and the snowballing effect will take place and you'll have all the traffic your site could need.
