Warning, if you are operating a business paypal account, either because you are accepting payments in excess of the personal account limits, then you could be in for a real shock.
Have look at this source.
What they do not tell you is that Paypal has begun to limit accounts even if they have been doing business for up to 16 years.
Why is that?
Who knows for sure but it does appear that they are demanding business identification, even when no business license is required in the state where those owners are doing business.
So in order to continue to use business account services, including mass payments as well as a host of other services, you now have to provide articles of incorporation, business registration and a copy of your business license.
One thing that appears to be discomfiting is the nature of what they are doing appears to be discriminatory and possible even illegal, so what do you do?
Change platforms?
Use another acceptable micro payment option?
Perhaps that is the only solution, there have been many stories about how paypal appears to at times take actions that make no sense more so when the corporate compliance team have no direct communication with the rest of the company.
Like the old story says, don't put all your eggs in one basket because it might turn out to be a bad basket or in this case a company that is unfriendly to small business online.
