Public-service advertising or PSA, is generally sponsored by a nonprofit institution, civic group, religious organization, trade association, or political group. You might notice PSA on your web pages. These ads are displayed because Google Adsense has not been able to find appropriate ads for your page.

So how do Public Service Ads affect your site?

-The most significant fact to consider is that there are no payments for clicks on PSA’s. So even if you have a good CTR (click through rate), it is of no use.

-It ruins the look of your site. IF for example, you decided to place a big 160×600 vertical banner on your website and no ad showed, the PSA ads will have big mono-color fonts since one big ad will be shown instead of 5 ads there, which looks bad to the surfer.
