Email Marketing, to many, sounds like a good idea but in the long run very few are true email marketers.

Over the last 6 months or so I have dedicated 80% or better of my time to helping other Warriors learn how to become better email marketers. All this has been done for free for the fact I was looking for people to help me with some case studies.

The majority of those I tried to help completely freaked out when I suggested sending 100% of their traffic to a squeeze page. The few that did listen are now very proud they did. We will get to those in a few ...

I heard all kinds of excuses from those that did freak and leave. Many were making a random sale, here and there, and were afraid of losing that once in a while sale. They could not get past the safety of the occasional buck.

Their main excuse was they could always use an exit pop up if the person did not buy initially. That looks good on paper but in the real world of marketing .. very few people actually sign up to those. I know you will hear a lot of different opinions in the main forum but for all my test (and there are many) .. they piss more people off than they squeeze.

The thing that works with email marketing is the power to control your traffic. To have that traffic ready to buy before they ever see your sales page.

The next objection usually went something like this " I have heard a freebie seeker list is hard to convert."

Now admittedly, a list of proven buyers is a great thing to have but those telling you a freebie seeker list is not profitable could have an issue with their own marketing and not list quality.

I have proof, time and time again, that properly funneling a freebie seeker list is the most profitable model to follow.

You start your funnel by giving targeted traffic exactly what they think they want. You then start funneling those members into different exact interest and monetizing each interest.

Those that are truly freebie seekers never funnel out of the initial list. In my funnels a little over 50% end up funneling into some type of buyers list. Those that never funnel out actually end up making me, at least as much, if not more than the buyers do. Remember, as email marketers we control where these freebie seekers click. Can you think of any ways to make a lot of money off of a list that is already trained to click on freebie links? I can!

Remember those people I said actually stuck with me and only sent their traffic to a squeeze page? The ones I said were very happy they did?

They are happy because I taught them to qualify their traffic. To only send them to offers they knew the member was already interested in.

They now have very profitable list. Those list are not huge by most standards. Maybe 3 or 4 thousand people at most. Many told me they were making more money with less than a thousand list members than they were making before the list. These people were making a few sales before our little case study.

The secret is these people are now getting the relationship going first. They always have a way to buy when the buyer is ready. The main thing is the list members are qualified for each offer before seeing the offer.

Do you want to be an email marketer or a hybrid version who sends their traffic to a relatively cold ofter and as a second thought try to get them on your list?

I know what works the best for me and I choose email marketing.
